FAIRWAY
Fairway is a group project completed in 2020 in which we worked alongside Fletchers for their new subdivision Waiata Shores, in South Auckland. We were given one zone of the project to design and incorporate 100+ units into the site.
We were tasked to come up with multiple styles and sizes of units to cater to the needs of many different buyers, as well as making sure there was minimal chance of the occupants being identified as either lower or upper class. This was to help create a community within the new development and no division between residents based on whether or not they earn a lot of money.
Below you will mainly see the part of the project that Harry Simpson and myself worked on, being the central pavilion on the site, a place which has no single function and can be converted to whatever is necessary for the needs of its users. The pavilion is a place where anybody can feel comfortable to go and use whenever they need to, as well as being able to be booked by someone who may want to host a function. The flexibility allows freedom for it to become whatever it must to cater to the needs of a user.
The final project was presented as a group in front of some Fletchers representatives as well as some chosen critics.
